Malia Fisher Arieli is a media ethicist, entrepreneur, and aspiring interfaith chaplain dedicated to helping young people navigate meaning, identity, and digital culture over 12 years of experience as a leader in media and politics.
She founded Vocal Media—the first social-impact creator marketing firm—scaling it to $15M revenue & a 100-person team while pioneering new modes of algorithmic communication and driving Gen Z issue-engagement online.
Malia is widely recognized as one of the leading experts in media ecosystems and youth behavior online.
After a 12-year career as a political strategist and CEO, she is pursuing an MDiv in Buddhism & Interreligious Engagement at Union Theological Seminary as she prepares for a new vocation in chaplaincy and interfaith spiritual leadership.
Before founding Vocal Media, Malia was an independent communications advisor, working with dozens of progressive organizations, startups, and candidates on communications, public relations, and youth engagement across a range of issues—including gun violence prevention, voting rights, political data & technology, net neutrality, DACA, and mass incarceration. Malia served for eighteen months on Hillary Clinton’s campaign alongside Campaign Chair, John Podesta. Before joining the campaign she worked at the Center for American Progress (CAP) as a speechwriter for John Podesta.
